Ouarzazate

ouarzazate

Ouarzazate has remained at the edge of the Sahara desert for a long time. A city of palm trees, sandy lanes and blocky, post like structures, this is the Morocco found in a hundred films.

The name Ouarzazate originates from the Amazigh for ‘calm spot’, and contrasted with huge numbers of its kindred Moroccan towns and urban communities, there is a sure quiet to be found here. Inside its dividers you’ll discover new inns and buildings, in addition to film studios which have benefited as much as possible from their photogenic area.

Outside the city is the reason a great many people come to Ouarzazate: the shocking Sahara. Take a trek out to the close-by villages and kasbahs, see the amazing Todra Gorge, and wonder about one of the world’s  great natural  marvels.
